Thomas Moon, 87, grew up in a family of sharecroppers and talks about eating possum during the depression. His wife, Annie, 87, grew up on the Lower East Side of NY, one of 9 children. She would sneak out to get bread from the convent nearby, as the family did not have enough money for food. Their house had 3 bedrooms and no living room, and no pictures on the walls. For Christmas they got fruit (her father had a job delivering fruit to stores). Annie met Thomas, then a sailor, on Christmas eve at a rolling skating rink. They were married 3 months later.
