Finish Line (The Tennessean)

I got an assignment from The Tennessean last weekend to shoot the state championship cross country meet here in Nashville. These are photos of a few of the runners as they crossed the finish line. I wanted to try to make something a little less standard but still show the amount of effort that these kids put into the race.

CMA Awards (Associated Press)

Shot the CMA awards for the Associated Press last night along with AP staff photographer Mark Humphrey. It was a huuuuuuge production and some craziness but was really a lot of fun. It was my first time ever shooting it so it was cool to get to see what the biggest award show in town is all about.

Dave Brobek and his Camaro (Wall Street Journal)

Shot a quick assignment for The Wall Street Journal this past weekend. The story was about how the new versions of classic muscle cars are selling surprisingly well. I headed down to Spring Hill to hang out with Dave Brobek for a couple of hours and got to go for a ride in his brand new Camaro. I kind of hoped he would want to drag race some people, but eh, cant have everything work out, right?

Murrell School (old stuff)

I worked on this project about a year and a half ago and never really put much of these photos up here. Thought I would share a few of them now. The rest are on my website along with the full story. The short version is that this school is a last stop for children with severe behavioral or psychological disorders who are unable to attend typical schools or have been kicked out of them.

H2B Worker Program (Associated Press)

Writer John Gonzales and I spent a couple of days working on this story a month or so ago. John was just amazing to work with. A truly dedicated and passionate reporter.
