The Holt Family for The New York Times
Rhonda and Jason Holt bought their first home back in 2005, had three children, and soon after, all began having severe health problems. After numerous doctor and hospital trips, they found out that the home they bought was a former meth lab. They were forced to leave their home, gut and clean it, and are currently living at their in-laws home until they can perform all of the renovations. Both Rhonda and Jason continue to have health problems as well as their children. Their youngest, Anna, must take a breathing treatment a number of times daily.
