Transit

Woke up at 4am this morning to catch a flight to DC to cover the inauguration. I don't have any credentials so I wont be covering the actual swearing in, but everything else surrounding the event. I will be here through the 22nd. If anyone needs a stringer I am available all week, or if anyone in the area wants to hook up for a drink, let me know. Here are some of the sleepiest photos I think I have ever taken.

English Only Bill for The New York Times

Nashville is on the verge of becoming the first large city in America to adopt "English as the Official Language". According to City Councilman Eric Crafton, it would only affect the language in which city business and council meetings are done in, but opponents are worried that it will make Nashville seem xenophobic. I spent the afternoon with NYT writer Robbie Brown, following around opponents of the bill as they went door to door urging voters to vote against the bill. We also went to the home of the bills creator, Councilman Eric Crafton, to get his side of the issue.

HERE is a link to Robbie's story.
